If you are involved in an accident try and stay calm as we are here to help you in any way we can. Follow these steps to ensure that everyone involved is kept safe:
1. Make the scene safe for yourself and other motorists. Call 111 if someone is injured.
2. Do NOT admit liability.
3.Collect information required to fill out the Accident Report Card. This includes:
OTHER DRIVER DETAILS: name, licence plate number, license number, address, contact details, vehicle make and model, vehicle ownership details and vehicle insurance details.
ACCIDENT DETAILS: Don't forget to write down important information regarding the location of the accident including: day and time, full address details including major intersecting roads. If you are able to, draw a sketch of the accident scene. Also try and record other details such as condition of road, direction travelling, speed of vehicle etc.
WITNESS DETAILS: Find any relevant witnesses and collect their contact details including their name, address, email address and telephone number.
POLICE: record any details if the accident was reported to the police including the police officer's name, station address and officer number.
4. Take photographs of the accident and its location where possible.
