Returning your vehicle
at the end of the lease

At the end of your lease period, you must return your old vehicle to one of our nominated locations.  You should always check with your company’s fleet manager prior to returning your vehicle. If you are interested in purchasing the vehicle read on.

 

Replacing your vehicle with a new vehicle leased from Custom Fleet

If you are getting a new lease vehicle through Custom Fleet you can leave your expired vehicle at the dealership when you pick up the new one. Just remember to let the dealer know that the vehicle is a Custom Fleet vehicle. They will then contact us and we will arrange to have your old vehicle transported to a Custom Fleet Vehicle Return Centre for you.

 

Not replacing your current vehicle with a Custom Fleet Lease

If you are not replacing your vehicle with us, you need to deliver your vehicle to a Custom Fleet Vehicle Return Centre or one of our authorised regional drop-off points. Find your nearest return location.

 

Please note: a transportation charge will be incurred if the vehicle is not returned to the correct location.

 

Before returning your vehicle

Remember the four ‘R’s when returning your lease vehicle:

 

  • Report any damage or missing items to your company's Fleet Administrator including service books, spare wheel, tools, seats, headrests, cargo covers, etc.

  • Return your spare keys, remote key pads and Fuel Card (if applicable)

  • Remove all your personal belongings

  • Return your vehicle in a clean and tidy state


At the end of your vehicle’s lease period your company may be liable for any restoration work required beyond fair wear and tear.  For more information on this view our Fair Wear and Tear Guide.

 

Ordering your new vehicle

We recommend that you order your replacement vehicle at least 6 weeks prior to the end of your current vehicle's lease. You should discuss this with your company's Fleet Administrator.

 

Our recommended 6 week lead-time allows time for the dealer ordering your vehicle to secure the vehicle of your choice, the colour of your choice and for the delivery on or as close to the due date as possible.

At the end of your vehicle’s lease you, your family, friends or colleagues may be interested in purchasing the vehicle.

Please note: Vehicles are only available for sale on confirmation the current lease will not be extended or modified.
