Custom Fleet head office on the move

We would like to announce that Custom Fleet’s Head Office has relocated to the General Electric Head Office Building at 8 Tangihua Street, Auckland CBD, near the Vector Arena. The move took place during the last weekend of June, with staff being based in the new building from June 29.

Please note: there is no impact to our returned vehicle site at 50 Morrin Road, Panmure, so our Auckland-based customers should continue to deliver returned vehicles to this address.

This move enables Custom Fleet to physically co-locate with our Equipment Finance operation and aligns with the integration strategy of these two businesses, as recently communicated to you. The relocation brings a number of advantages for the combined organisation. With the entire Auckland team now under one roof there will be more efficiencies and access to all areas of the GE business within New Zealand. Staff will also benefit from increased opportunities within the wider GE organisation.

The move also means that we will be ‘housed’ in a very energy efficient building. The GE Building, officially opened in June 2008, is a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly building that has been awarded a 4 star rating by the New Zealand Green Building Council. The rating is based on a building’s efficiency, ‘health’ and innovation. Some of the initiatives include energy efficient lighting (supplied by GE Lighting), high ceiling heights to maximise utilisation of natural lighting, energy efficient air conditioning and filtration systems, bike racks to encourage employees to cycle to work, low usage bathroom fittings to reduce water usage and high performance insulation on pipe work and water storage systems.

Customers have always been, and will continue to be, our number one priority, and our combined business remains intensely committed to the industry. With a renewed focus and a strategic outlook on the market, we will continue to service our valued customers throughout New Zealand. We are now in a position to further build on our strengths and offer an enhanced suite of products and services, including our fleet management and leasing opportunities as well as equipment finance opportunities such as loans and Fleetline, our revolving credit facility specifically tailored for commercial lending needs.

Driver Helpline/customer service calls on 26 June:
Our 0800 Driver Helpline (0800 11 63 63) and all other support lines will operate as normal on Friday, 26 June, however from 3pm these will be covered by a smaller than usual staff so we recommend limiting contact to urgent or emergency situations between 3-5pm. Thereafter incoming calls will be supported by our after hours supplier and will be handled as normal.

All customer service and new business calls to our 0800 numbers (0800 4 FLEET and 0800 4 LEASING) will be handled as normal until 3pm on Friday, 26 June. After this time all calls will be directed to our Christchurch office. If you have an urgent account query please feel free to contact your account manager directly.

While every effort is being made to ensure our move does not impact our customer service we would like to take this opportunity to apologise should you encounter any difficulties in contacting our Auckland-based staff during this time.

Visiting our new offices:

Returned vehicles and vehicle sales:
Our Vehicle Centre at 50 Morrin Road, Panmure, remains open for all vehicle returns in the Auckland area. All staff associated with the return and disposal of vehicles will now be based at Morrin Road.

Morrin Road will also become our vehicle sales centre, including Driver Sales and retail sales of vehicle to our customers. Viewing of vehicles for sale will be by appointment only. For all driver and retail sales enquiries please contact our team on:
